Mercy Moreno

Played by Martha Millan

Mercy is a volatile criminal businesswoman played by Martha Millan. Her connections put her among the dangerous outside interests surrounding the Glass operation.

Biography

Mercy Moreno runs a high-end sports-car dealership that conceals Colombian cocaine trafficking. She greets customers with “Mabuhay,” presenting an outward-facing business that sits beside a coercive criminal operation. Interviews with Millan identify Mercy as a Filipino character; that identification is stated in the role coverage rather than inferred from the performer’s own nationality.[5][6]

The Gentlemen

Season 1

Reveal Season 1 story spoilers

When Bobby announces that he will sell the cannabis business, Mercy is among the interested parties approached for an offer. Netflix describes her as a volatile drug baroness with Colombian business partners. Her surname Moreno is supplied by the television cast listing; the official finale guide generally calls her Mercy.

Eddie and Susie tell Mercy that Sticky Pete has won. Afraid of the consequences for her own position, she kills him to take his place. The pair then have Henry Collins kill Mercy, removing another rival from the sale.

Earlier, Mercy’s dealership becomes the target of the car theft Eddie undertakes for Tonibler. The vehicle contains cocaine, and Freddy is caught during the operation. Mercy demands compensation and makes the exchange personally violent: Eddie and Susie surrender Tonibler to secure Freddy’s release, and Mercy kills him in front of them.[1][2][7]

Season 2

Reveal Season 2 story spoilers

TVmaze’s Episode 2x05 guest-credit list names Martha Millan as Mercy, although the broader cast table places Mercy in Season 1. The retrieved Episode 5 narrative does not establish a new Mercy storyline or explain the credit. No independent Season 2 actions are assigned to her from the credit alone.[8][2]

Personality

Reveal story spoilers

Mercy’s volatility has consequences. On being told that Pete has won the auction, she responds with murder rather than accepting defeat. Netflix connects that decision to fear of her Colombian associates, so her aggression is also bound up with pressure from the criminal partners behind her.[1]

Physical Appearance

Reveal story spoilers

Mercy is styled with a blonde wig, conspicuous nails and detailed makeup. Millan describes those choices as central to the character’s physical transformation, distinguishing Mercy’s screen appearance from the performer’s everyday look. Her machete is also a prominent visual prop in the dealership scenes; it belongs to the threatening presentation of this character, not to an assumed personal trait of the actor.[5]
