Netflix introduces Henry as a former army man whose business success and personal charm conceal a dangerous side. He is part of the criminal connections surrounding boxing, not a member of the Horniman household.[1][2]
Henry Collins
Played by Max Beesley
Henry is a successful London boxing promoter with a military past. His confidence and apparently easy manner make him an attractive contact, but the Glass family has reason to be wary.
Biography
The Gentlemen
Season 1
Reveal Season 1 story spoilers
Henry engineers the fight that nearly kills Jack and threatens Susie. He later helps Eddie and Susie remove their rivals, including Mercy, and contributes money to an apparent deal. Those services do not save him: Eddie takes him into the woods and kills him in the finale.[2]
Season 2
Reveal Season 2 story spoilers
TVmaze’s Episode 2x06 guest-credit list includes Max Beesley as Henry Collins, while the broader cast table marks Henry as a Season 1 character. The credit list does not identify whether the material is a flashback, archive footage, a vision, or a new scene. It is not evidence that Henry is alive again or has begun a new Season 2 operation.[8][7]
Personality
Reveal story spoilers
Henry presents himself with genial confidence, backed by military experience and success as a promoter. His involvement in Jack’s rigged fight and threat against Susie reveal how readily that charm can give way to coercion. His later cooperation with Eddie is transactional, not evidence that the earlier violence has been forgiven.[1][2]
Physical Appearance
Henry’s official still presents him in a dark suit jacket, pale shirt, tinted rectangular glasses and a white pocket square. His hair is short and neatly arranged; a watch and ring accompany the tailored outfit. These are visible styling choices for Henry, not biographical claims about Max Beesley.[6]
