Usage analytics
The Gentlemen Wiki uses Metrizo to measure visits and reading activity. Its script loads automatically from metrizo.site unless a browser privacy signal or saved rejection prevents it.
The tracker sends page origin and path, referring website origin, random visitor, session and page-view identifiers, device category, active reading time, scroll depth, interaction indicators and browser automation status. It does not record typed text, individual keys or session replay.
Analytics page addresses exclude query strings and fragments. Validated UTM campaign labels and advertising click-identifier types can be sent separately, but not raw click identifiers. The tracker can send click categories and configured goal events, not link destinations or form values.
Google Analytics also loads automatically to measure page visits unless a browser privacy signal or saved rejection prevents it. It uses first-party analytics cookies and sends the canonical site origin and page path, not search terms, query strings, fragments, page titles or raw referring addresses. Advertising signals and enhanced measurement are disabled. Google receives connection information, including your IP address; this is not a claim of anonymity.
Your choices and browser storage
Enable Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control before loading the wiki to prevent analytics loading. Previously saved general analytics or Google Analytics rejections are respected for Google Analytics. Metrizo respects its existing saved rejection. There is no on-page analytics switch and no on-page consent panel. Blocking metrizo.site prevents Metrizo requests; blocking googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com prevents Google Analytics requests. The wiki remains readable.
Metrizo uses local storage for random visitor and session identifiers, not analytics cookies. Its current browser timers are up to 30 days for a visitor and 30 minutes of inactivity for a session; these are not server retention promises. The Wiki layout saves text-size and article-width preferences locally.
Choices apply to this browser. Clearing site data removes saved preferences and identifiers, but is not an opt-out and does not delete analytics already received.
Technical requests
Hosting infrastructure receives connection information, including your IP address and requested address. Search terms are sent to the site to return results. Routine web-server access logs record IP addresses, request methods, paths, response statuses and sizes; warning and error logs support diagnosis. Source links lead to websites with their own privacy practices.
