Tammy Horniman

Played by Chanel Cresswell

Tammy is Freddy Horniman’s wife, played by Chanel Cresswell. Her place in the story is inside the Halstead household, where Eddie’s unexpected inheritance overturns the future she and Freddy had anticipated.

Biography

Tammy is married to Freddy, the elder Horniman brother. That makes Eddie her brother-in-law: she belongs to the family circle affected by the succession, rather than entering the story as one of Susie Glass’s criminal associates. Radio Times identifies Cresswell as Tammy and describes the character as having more to her than first appearances suggest; it does not establish a separate criminal position or business for her.[1][2][3]

The Gentlemen

Season 1

Reveal Season 1 story spoilers

A contemporary costume-focused account describes Tammy as expecting to become lady of the manor when the old Duke dies. At the reading of the will, she reacts badly when Freddy is passed over. This gives her disappointment a specific cause: Eddie’s inheritance changes her expected social position as well as her husband’s. The scene detail is supported by secondary reporting, not a Netflix character biography.

Tammy also takes part in Eddie’s attempt to steal a car for Tonibler. Posing as a prospective buyer, she test-drives the vehicle while Eddie copies the key, then rejects its colour to help the family leave without completing a purchase. This gives her an active role in the episode-three deception beyond her reaction to the inheritance.[2][3][4]

Season 2

Reveal Season 2 story spoilers

The retrieved television cast table labels Tammy as a Season 1 character, and Netflix’s Season 2 guide supplies no returning Tammy entry. Those are the limits of the verified public records here: no Season 2 actions, whereabouts, change to her marriage, or final fate are established by this research.[14][15]

Personality

Reveal story spoilers

Tammy takes the social role of a Horniman wife seriously. Her collapse during the reading of the will shows how deeply she has invested in the future she expected with Freddy. The care she puts into a complete hunting outfit, despite having no interest in hunting, also makes social belonging an important part of her characterization. That reading follows her actions and the costume designer’s explanation, rather than establishing an invented upbringing. Her participation in the test-drive distraction also demonstrates composure and an ability to play a part under Eddie’s direction.[12][4]

Physical Appearance

Tammy’s wardrobe carefully assembles the country-house look: a checked brown outer layer, a pale bow-neck blouse and coordinated knitwear are visible in the published still. Bontemps describes a blend of WAG and Chelsea styling, including a full hunting outfit. The point is deliberate presentation, not a verified claim about Tammy’s birthplace or class background.[12][13]

Notes

Tammy is Freddy’s wife and Eddie’s sister-in-law. The longer name Tamasina appears in the editable television cast list, but the established profile name and slug remain Tammy Horniman. No maiden name or independent criminal occupation is established here.[1][2][3][14]
