Takashi

Played by Masayoshi Haneda

A hitman whose London assignment draws Eddie into a fresh series of killings.

Biography

Takashi is the killer Eddie is asked to transport and assist as a favor to Marco’s contacts. The assignment is kept outside Susie’s knowledge.[1][2][3][4]

The Gentlemen

Season 2

Reveal Season 2 story spoilers

Takashi tortures a man to obtain the location of an accountant in witness protection. At the safe house, he insists on proceeding even though the target’s wife and children are present. Eddie refuses to let the family be killed, and he and Geoff strangle Takashi. Eddie and Susie subsequently use the corpse to blackmail Hawthorne, planting it in the peer’s bed after drugging him. Later images or credits do not establish that Takashi survived.[1][2][3][4]

Personality

Reveal story spoilers

His refusal to stop when the target’s family is present supports a reading of him as remorseless and rigidly committed to the assignment. The violence is explicit in the recaps; no invented code of honor or detailed prior career is added.[1][2][3][4]

Notes

The actor’s first name is spelled Masayoshi in Wikipedia and Masoyoshi in TVmaze. The role pairing is corroborated, but this transliteration discrepancy should be normalized against a final credit image before publication.[1][2][3][4]

Some details are not yet documented by the cited sources; an unrecorded storyline does not establish that a character is absent.

  • Season 1: source coverage

The retrieved records for Takashi do not establish a separate Season 1 storyline. This is a limit of the available evidence, not proof of absence or an invented later history.[4][8][5][6][7][1][2][3]

  • Physical Appearance. A verified in-character description is not yet recorded; actor portraits do not establish character appearance.[4][8][5][6][7][1][2][3]
