Played by Sergio Castellitto

A powerful Mafia boss whose territory becomes central to the Glass operation’s expansion into northern Italy.

The Gentlemen

Season 1

Reveal Season 1 story spoilers

Marco is introduced in the official Season 2 guide as part of the new Italian connection. No earlier on-screen dealings are attributed to him here.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

After Cico’s fraud is exposed, Marco deals directly with Eddie and Susie. He considers backing Eddie’s plan to profit from legal cannabis and requires him to handle a London assignment involving Takashi and an accountant. The assignment compromises Eddie further. When the legalization effort fails, Marco demands repayment, and Eddie seeks new financing and a wider continental venture. Bella’s marriage to Eddie makes their business tie a family alliance as well. In the finale, Eddie asks Marco to arrange Bobby’s murder in prison, then tries to stop the hit when he realizes Bobby did not order the attacks on his family. Bobby survives and ends the season envisaging a future in which Marco’s operation is absorbed into a larger Glass empire.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Personality

Reveal story spoilers

The official writer’s description of Marco as ruthless is supported by the punishment of Cico and the pressure exerted through debt and lethal assignments. His trust in his longtime adviser Angelica shows a preference for established relationships, but it also gives her room to conceal her own financial interests. His elegance should not be mistaken for mercy.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Physical Appearance

Netflix’s character introduction deliberately pairs Marco’s ruthlessness with elegance. This establishes a polished presentation as part of the character’s design, but does not support specific clothing brands, physical measurements, or an invented distinguishing scar.[1]

Notes

Reveal story spoilers

Marco describes Bella as being like a daughter. This supports a close bond, but does not by itself establish a literal godparent relationship. The ending’s account of Bobby’s ambitions is a stated plan, not proof that an eventual takeover has already happened.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
