Sheikh Suliman

Played by Moayad Alnefaie

The sheikh to whom Pat Gallagher hopes to give a valuable falcon in exchange for help relocating.

Biography

Suliman is the royal contact at the center of Pat’s attempt to obtain a Middle Eastern visa. Pat’s promised falcon makes him important to the effort to resolve Oscar Thorne’s debts.[1]

The Gentlemen

Season 1

Reveal Season 1 story spoilers

The retrieved TVmaze record credits Sheikh Suliman in 2x04, all in Season 2, and contains no Season 1 appearance. This is a statement about the scope of that published credit record, not a claim about an invented earlier life.[3]

Season 2

Reveal Season 2 story spoilers

After the missing falcon is recovered, Pat brings it to Suliman. The sheikh calls Eddie over and asks in Arabic what he thinks of Pat. Eddie answers that Pat requires caution but may be useful. Suliman grants a visa limited to one year, saying that his country wants the best people. The exchange completes the immediate falcon bargain, not an independently verified lasting alliance with Eddie’s entire criminal enterprise.[1]

Personality

Reveal story spoilers

His private question to Eddie and the limited visa show selective, conditional bargaining. He does not simply accept Pat’s gift as proof of reliability. The scene provides no basis for a detailed ideology or an invented relationship with Prince Amir.[1]
