The Gentlemen

Season 1

Reveal Season 1 story spoilers

The published TVmaze appearance record lists Oscar Thorne in Episode 2x04, all in Season 2, and records no Season 1 credit. This is the scope of that retrieved credit record; no unseen Season 1 activities or earlier-life events are invented here.[4]

Season 2

Reveal Season 2 story spoilers

Eddie offers to resolve Oscar’s debt in exchange for the bishop’s help with the cannabis bill. Oscar owes Pat Gallagher money and has also mishandled a falcon Pat intended to use in a transaction with a Middle Eastern sheikh. Aslan has removed a bird, and the attempt to recover it is complicated when it escapes again. Bella’s knowledge helps the group bring it back, enabling Pat’s arrangement and clearing the way for Oscar’s reunion with his mother. Hawthorne’s death later destroys the larger legislative plan.[1][2]

Personality

Reveal story spoilers

Oscar’s borrowing and falcon scheme show poor judgment rather than a reliable talent for managing risk. His enthusiasm for breeding birds becomes a liability when it interferes with obligations to people able to enforce repayment violently.[1][2]

Notes

Oscar’s mother is credited as the Bishop of Sussex. Her title, rather than a speculative personal first name, is sufficient to distinguish her.[1][2]
