Aisha

Played by Maya Jama

A friend of Susie’s whose connections in the Middle East open a new set of social and business possibilities.

Biography

Aisha is a friend of Susie’s who moved to the Middle East to work in hospitality and subsequently gained access to a royal circle. Susie introduces her as clever, aspirational, and someone who takes care of the people around her. She functions as a fixer rather than as another member of the Glass family.[1][2][3]

The Gentlemen

Season 1

Reveal Season 1 story spoilers

Aisha is introduced among Season 2’s new characters. The retrieved coverage describes her arrival in Episode 1 rather than establishing an earlier screen appearance.[1][2][3]

Season 2

Reveal Season 2 story spoilers

Aisha comes to Halstead for the shooting weekend with Prince Amir. She helps broker a connection between the visiting dignitary and Eddie before the shoot and the black-tie dinner held in their honor. Her importance lies in access: Eddie and Susie are trying to move their business beyond England and Italy, and she can bring them into circles they cannot simply purchase their way into. Later episode-credit listings also place her in Episode 4, but the retrieved narrative evidence does not establish a separate later Aisha arc.[1][2][3]

Personality

Her resourcefulness is supported by the introduction Susie gives her and by her role as a social intermediary. The useful reading is of an ambitious network-builder who can bring people together; the available scenes do not justify inventing a hidden loyalty, betrayal, or romantic motive for her.[2]

Physical Appearance

For her arrival at Halstead, Bontemps gives Aisha an exaggerated pussy-bow dress. She then changes into traditional shooting clothes, including a flat cap. The designer explains that the restrained silhouette was intended to create mystery rather than make her appearance conspicuous.[4]

Notes

Maya Jama’s role is Aisha, not an unnamed cameo or a portrayal of herself. Her connection to Prince Amir is clear in the episode coverage, but this profile does not import an unverified marriage history from a tertiary listing.[1][2][3]
